The spin cycle is in full effect. Per their announcement on last night’s show, Jon and Kate Gosselin filed divorce papers yesterday in Pennsylvania. They have been married 10 years, have 8 kids and are the stars of the TLC hit series Jon and Kate Plus 8. Jon has been struggling with the media attention while Kate has flourished in it. The two have had a struggling relationship since February, when Jon was caught on camera with a younger woman…which set the rumor mill into high gear. In May Deanna Hummel was seen driving Jon’s car late at night. In true hollywood form… the show will go on. Tune in for the latest with Jon and Kate Plus 8.
Chrysler announced today that it plans to shut down 789, or nearly 25%, of the 3200 Chrysler dealerships by June 9th. Dealerships can appeal and there is a hearing set for June 3rd in New York’s U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Also, Alicia Keys appeared last night and solicited donations for her Keep a Child Alive charity, which provides medical care to families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. You can donate $5 to Keep a Child Alive as part of the Text ALIVE Challenge by texting “Alive” to 90999 by June 1st.
